Lil Uzi Vert notches the second-biggest debut of 2020 so far with 311k—earning #1 on the
HITS Top 50—though it doesn’t come close to YTD champs
BTS, who topped our chart two weeks ago with 411k.
Def Jam diva
Jhené Aiko makes a strong #2 bow, as
Chilombo moves 153k units. And K-Pop group
NCT 127 (
SM/Caroline) scores the third-biggest bow, with 90k, good for a #5 finish.
Two more debuts make the Top 50:
Lauv (
AWAL) comes in at #13, and
Ruff Ryders/Def Jam’s
Jadakiss enters at #29.
As for the incumbents,
Lil Baby (
QC/Motown/Capitol), last week’s chart-topper, stays solid at #4 with 104k, while Latin sensation
Bad Bunny (
Rimas), who came in #2 a week ago, leapfrogs Baby to snag #3 behind 118k. Both continue to stream like nobody’s business.
Among the albums making upward moves are
Post Malone’s ubiquitous
Hollywood’s Bleeding (
Republic), which moves up two slots to #7;
Billie Eilish’s game-changing debut (
Darkroom/Interscope), which goes #15-14; and Post’s two previous releases, at #24 and #35.
Reentries include Republic’s
Jonas Brothers at #31, while
Warner Nashville’s
Blake Shelton gallops back to #44, four slots ahead of
Warner Records’
Mac Miller.
UMG once again tops the marketshare competition with 48%, followed by
WMG’s 31%, while
Sony Music takes 18% of the pie.
Charting this week are projects from Capitol
1D alumnus
Niall Horan,
RCA’s
Trolls: World Tour soundtrack and a pair from Republic:
Rich the Kid and
Two Feet.
