Michael Ball and
Alfie Boe have landed at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums chart with
Together at Christmas (
Decca), on 33,000 in sales. On singles,
Ariana Grande holds onto the top spot for a fifth consecutive week.
Together at Christmas is Ball & Boe’s third joint album to reach #1. Of those 33,000 units sold, 96% were physical.
BTS’
BE (
Big Hit) settles for second place, at #2, followed by
Taylor Swift’s
Folklore (
EMI), which rebounds to #4, from #36, following its release on vinyl.
Two more releases debut in this week’s Top 10:
Neil Diamond and the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s
Classic Diamonds (
UMG), at #5, and the
Iron Maiden live album
Nights of the Dead—Legacy of the Beast (
Parlophone), at #7.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, Grande’s “positions” (
Island) notches up 5.4m streams this week to stay on top, while
Billie Eilish sits 7,000 in sales behind with “Therefore I Am” (
Polydor), at #2.
Dua Lipa lands her seventh Top 5 single with “Levitating” (
Warner Records), which jumps five to #5, while also scoring this week’s highest new entry, with “Prisoner” (
RCA), by
Miley Cyrus; it enters at #8.
Close behind are two other brand-new entries: “Monster,” by
Shawn Mendes &
Justin Bieber (
EMI), at #9, and the opening track from BTS’ new album,
BE, “Life Goes On,” at #10.
Further down, “Whoopty” (
CJ Music Group), by rapper
CJ, flies up 12 places to #12 and Grande’s “34+35” rises four, to #13.
