Michelle Jubelirer has promoted
Jeremy Vuernick to President of A&R for
Capitol Music Group. It’s her second major executive appointment since taking the helm at the Tower.
Vuernick will lead the company’s A&R team, sign and develop artists, oversee recording projects and order sand dabs from
Musso & Frank. He will work closely with CMG Chair & CEO Jubelirer as a key member of her executive team. He is based in the Tower.
Said Jubelirer, “During the years I’ve worked with Jeremy at CMG, he's always impressed me with his creative vision and tremendous passion for great artistry and music. He possesses the rare ability to work with artists, producers and songwriters in nearly every genre of music and has earned enormous respect from the broad creative community.”
Vuernick has spent nearly a decade as an A&R executive at CMG, starting at
Astralwerks in 2013 and rising to EVP of A&R for CMG in 2019.
He signed and developed
Halsey, inked numerous deals with
Marshmello, A&Red
Paul McCartney’s
McCartney III Imagined and signed artist/producer
TM88, singer/songwriter
Blu DeTiger and singer/rapper
Justus Bennetts. He has also collaborated with
Katy Perry,
Alesso and, with
10K Projects, Tampa teen
Aidan Bissett.
Vuernick started his career at
Ultra Music, where he served in A&R, marketing and sales capacities. He still enjoys dropping the needle on rare club singles, though seeing a
HITS editor attempting to dance one time scarred him psychically.
