U.K. CHARTS: BARLOW CLAIMS #1

Gary Barlow has claimed his third solo #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Music Played by Humans (Polydor) on 46,5000 sales. Over on singles, Ariana Grande has a sixth week at the top.

Elsewhere on albums, StepsWhat the Future Holds (BMG) is new at #2, while Miley Cyrus gains her highest-charting album in seven years with Plastic Hearts (RCA) entering at #4.

Singled Out (BMG), from Welsh singer Shakin’ Stevens, is at #10, while Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) rises 15 places to #14 following her Studio 2054 livestream.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, Grande’s “Positions” (Island) holds on for another week at #1 just ahead of Mariah Carey’s festive classic, “All I Want for Christmas” (Columbia), which rises 12 places to #2. Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (Epic) rises 17 places to #3.

Cyrus returns to the Top 5 with “Midnight Sky” climbing two spots to#5, and The Pogues f/Kirsty MacColl’s “Fairytale of New York” (Atlantic) is up 18 places to #8.

Liam Gallagher’s charity single ­“All You’re Dreaming Of” (Warner) is the highest new entry this, entering at #35.
