ABC's annual CMA Country Christmas, which aired last night from 8-10pm, pulled in a whopping 7.8m total viewers, surging 34% when compared to the 12/3/15 broadcast, which earned 5.8m.
The show—hosted by Jennifer Nettles for a seventh time—also saw a 44% ratings bump with 1.3/4 from adults 18-49; last year's Country Christmas ended up with 0.9/3.
For perspective, yesterday's festivities took second place in the two-hour time slot among the broadcasters, behind only NBC's The Voice.
We'll raise a hefty glass of eggnog (or four) to that.
