Jim Catino has been upped to SVP, A&R at Sony Music Nashville, it was announced today by Chairman/CEO Randy Goodman.
Catino, who most recently served as VP of A&R, has been with the company since the fall of 2001. Before that, he held positions at DreamWorks Music Publishing, Giant Records and MCA Music Publishing as part of a 22-year career in the biz.
“I’m excited to be making this announcement today. Since arriving at Sony Music Nashville 21 months ago, I’ve been impressed with Jim’s ‘ears’ and sensibilities as well as the great Team that he’s built around him,” shared Goodman—who Catino, based in Nashville, will continue to report to. “He’s always looking to do the right thing as it relates to the artists and their music and has been the driver of some of our great, early successes.”
At HITS, all we've been able to drive people to is "early retirement"... or jail.
