PRECOCIOUS BONES STANDS WITH LEGENDS
6/27/17

At the tender age of 37, Bobby Bones has become the youngest-ever inductee into the National Radio Hall of Fame. The host of iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show will join such on-air legends as Paul Harvey, Dick Clark, Larry King and Howard Stern. Bones was named in the “music format on-air personality” category.

The voting took place over two weeks from 6/5-19 and was determined by radio listeners nationwide. With supporters in the Nashville community rallying their support–including artists Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley and Little Big Town, who donned "VOTE BOBBY” t-shirts–Bones finished ahead of fellow nominees Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, Guy Phillips and Ryan Seacrest. The induction takes place 11/2.

Landing his first radio gig in Arkansas at age 17, Bones’ career took off when Austin’s The Bobby Bones Show became the Texas town’s top-rated morning show. He went nationally syndicated upon moving to Nashville in 2012, with more than a hundred affiliates and 5m+ listeners around the country. He was named the ACM On-Air Personality of the Year in 2014 and 2016.
