Julia Michaels—the acclaimed singer/songwriter who's been making waves this year as a Republic-inked performing artist—will be honored with a Breakthrough Artist Award at Music Biz 2018 during the Awards Luncheon at the Omni Nashville Hotel on 5/17.
“Julia [whose name has been gracing many a lip when talk of the Grammy Best New Artist race arises] has shown a brilliant knack for crafting Pop songs that have resonated for the likes of Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Ed Sheeran and John Legend. We are so thrilled to see her achieve even more success as a solo artist this year,” said Music Biz President James Donio. “Her accomplishments make her a perfect recipient for our Breakthrough Artist Award, and we look forward to seeing where her career will take her in the years ahead.”
The convention will take place in Music City from 5/14-17. There, RIAA CEO Cary Sherman is also expected to receive the Presidential Award for Outstanding Executive Achievement. Click here for more info on the week of revelry and analytics.
Everyone there is hoping nobody from here shows up.
