At the party commemorating Dierks Bentley's 17th career #1, "Woman, Amen," the Capitol Nashville star was joined by producer Arturo Buenahora, co-writer/producer Ross Copperman (BMI/Rezonant Music Publishing), co-writer Josh Kear (ASCAP/Big Yellow Dog Music) and producer Jon Randall Stewart. The women not pictured were busy loading out the gear. Later, the guys went for mani/pedis.
"Woman, Amen" serves as Copperman's 17th and Kear's 14th #1 career chart-topper. It's off Bentley's The Mountain, for which he co-wrote 10 of the 13 tracks—a personal best. The album earned him the highest debut sales of his career.
The country star, who's currently out on the Mountain High Tour, will be honored with the Merle Haggard Spirit Award at next week's 12th Annual ACM Honors. The award is presented to "a singer-songwriter who is continuing the legacy of country legend and 20-time ACM Award Winner Merle Haggard by following his/her own path, crafting great songs and epitomizing Merle’s spirit through genuine performances and great storytelling."
