Columbia Nashville star Maren Morris virtually joined CBS’ The Talk to discuss her latest single “Better Than We Found It,” on 10/5.

The multi ACM Award-winner took time to discuss the writing process of her new protest song, writing with her husband Ryan Hurd and featuring their baby Hayes in the Gabrielle Woodland-directed music video.

“I think the video coming out the same time as the song, as a companion piece also, really elevated the message and drove it home even further for people,” shared Morris.

In her first interview since releasing the single on 10/2, Morris also discussed her Female Artist of the Year win at the ACMs and her first performance since giving birth.
