Keith Urban is set to return to American Idol as a guest mentor, marking his first appearance on the show in six years.

For the season finale, Urban will be one of the mentors to the Top 3 contestants, and each finalist will have the opportunity to choose and perform one of Urban's Grammy-winning hits for the show.

Additionally, Urban—who served as a judge from seasons 12-15—will also take the stage during the three-hour show for his own performance.
