Lewis Capaldi has scored his first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart with “Someone You Loved” (
Virgin EMI) taking pole position on 58k combined sales nine weeks after it first entered the Top 100. Over on albums,
Giggs is the highest new entry at #6.
Capaldi’s highest singles position to date was the #26 that previous single “Grace” charted at earlier in February; it rises to #24 today. Both songs are from his debut album,
Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which arrives on 5/17.
After a close battle,

Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Giant” (
Columbia) settles for second place, finishing 1.9k combined sales behind Lewis, while last week’s #1, “7 Rings” (
Island) by
Ariana Grande, slips to #4.
P!nk claims this week’s highest new entry with “Walk Me Home” (
RCA) at #8, while
Tom Walker’s “Just You & I” (
Relentless) rises nine to #10 following his BRITs British Breakthrough win.
Lady Gaga &
Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” (
Polydor) rebounds 10 places to #11 after its Oscars win, and there are Top 20 breakthroughs for

eOne), up seven to #15, and
Lauv &
Troye Sivan’s “I’m So Tired” (

On the Official Albums chart, Ariana is #1 for a third week with

Big Bad (Island), the fifth album from London rapper Giggs, ends at #6 while
Sleaford Mods land their first ever Top 10 album with
