Watchmen, “The Way It Used To Be," is contending against the
Maisel track from
Thomas Mizer &
Curtis Moore, “One Less Angel.” It’s the first time
Maisel has been nominated in the category.

Laurel Canyon: A Place In Time received noms for Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Special. The Beasties doc is also up for writing and picture editing awards.
Suzi Dietz and the other Executive Producers of
PBS’
American Masters are up for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series for
Terrence McNally: Every Act of Life, the story of the acclaimed playwright's life.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be handed out 9/19 and the awards ceremony will be held a day later, on the 20th, and televised on
ABC with
Jimmy Kimmel as host..
