The all-star rendition of the
Elvin Bishop hit “Fooled Around And Fell In Love,” featuring
Miranda Lambert,
Maren Morris and others has won the
ACM Award for Music Event of the Year. The Academy announced several other awards prior to Wednesday’s telecast.
Thomas Rhett takes home the Video of the Year Award for “Remember You Young” produced by
Dan Atchison and directed by
TK McKamy.
Hillary Lindsey was announced as the ACM Songwriter of the Year.
Besides Lambert and Morris, Music Event of the Year winners are performers
Ashley McBryde,
Tenille Townes,
Caylee Hammack and
Elle King and producer
Jay Joyce.
The Academy of Country Music also announced that show host
Keith Urban and
P!nk will deliver the world television premiere of their new single, “One Too Many,” on Wednesday’s telecast on
CBS.
This year’s ACM Entertainer of the Year nominees
Luke Bryan,
Eric Church,
Luke Combs,
Rhett
and
Carrie Underwood will kick off the 55th Academy Of Country Music Awards with a medley of each of their greatest hits.
