Upon the announcement that
The Weeknd is booked for the
Super Bowl Halftime Show, rumormongers began saying the
NFL would axe any
Grammy show performance by its
SB LV headliner.
But with
CBS hosting both the
63rd Grammy Awards and SB LV, there's no conflict attached to consecutive primetime-Sunday broadcasts.
Expect the first two months of 2021 to be a legacy-defining season for The Weeknd,
XO and manager
Sal. Vegas has the R&B superstar as the odds-on favorite to
sweep the big three categories. Nominations will be announced Tuesday, 11/24.
According to insiders at CBS, it's game on for both events, scheduled for early 2021. How many points will Abel put on the scoreboard? Get your poutine ready.
