Nicole George-Middleton,
ASCAP’s Senior Vice President of Membership,
has been appointed as the Executive Director of The ASCAP Foundation.
George-Middleton willjoin the ASCAP Executive Leadership team and report directly to ASCAP CEO
Elizabeth Matthews. She will continue as SVP of Membership of ASCAP reporting to ASCAP Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer
John Titta.
“Nicole is an outstanding leader with exciting, fresh ideas for continuing the incredible work of The ASCAP Foundation in music education, in nurturing and developing aspiring songwriters and composers and in using music as therapy,” Matthews said.
George-Middleton has been instrumental in bringing top hitmakers to ASCAP such as
Timbaland,
Swizz Beatz,
Cardi B,
Alicia Keys,
Lil Baby, and
Solange, spearheads some of ASCAP’s largest member events, including the annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards and nurtures new talent with showcase and networking opportunities.
Before coming to ASCAP, she was Director of Business & Legal Affairs at
Zomba Music Group, and prior to that she practiced entertainment law at
The Middleton Law Group PC.
