City of Hope has partnered with
RWQuarantunes for a special virtual
Songs of Hope celebration, scheduled for today at 5:30pm PDT.
Brandi Carlile and
Smokey Robinson are among the honorees.
Carlile will receive
Universal Music Publishing Group’s She Is the Music Award;
Gracie Abrams and
Blake Slatkin will be honored with the
Facebook Songwriter Impact Award; Robinson will take home the
Clive Davis Legend in Songwriting Award;
Hildur Guðnadóttir is
EA Music Composer of the Year; and the
Sony Music Publishing Creative Trailblazer Award will go to
Daniel Nigro. The late
Pop Smoke, meanwhile, will be honored with
Warner Chappell’s Voice of Hope Award.
Jimmy Jam will serve as emcee.
The event will highlight the work of City of Hope’s Division of Health Equities and Department of Supportive Care Medicine, committed to delivering compassionate, specialized cancer care to patients and their families.
