ASCAP’s
Women Behind the Music: Homecoming Edition is going virtual this year as part of the 2021
ASCAP Experience. Taking place on 10/27 at 3pm ET/12pm PT, the event is also part of
ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Homecoming SZN, a week of virtual events coinciding with HBCUs' homecoming festivities.
This year’s honorees include
Columbia EVP/Head of Urban Music
Phylicia Fant,
Alicia Ferriabough Taylor, Esq., Associate at the
Law Offices of Robert A. Celestin, and
Motown Records VP of Marketing/Co-Founder of
#TheShowMustBePaused Jamila Thomas, all of whom attended HBCUs.
Nicole George-Middleton, ASCAP’s SVP of Membership, will moderate a conversation during which honorees will discuss their rise in the industry and how attending an HBCU shaped them as people and professionals. Additional events during ASCAP’s Homecoming SZN week includes
