iHeartMedia has anointed
Mark Adams and
Dylan Sprague as
VPs of CHR, iHeart programming overlord
Tom Poleman has announced. In this new capacity, the pair will work closely with execs and programmers, oversee custom and format centers and resources and work with the wider music biz, as well as incorporate old-school wacky toilet-flushing sound effects into their weekly
Zoom meetings.
Cara Hahn and
Taylor Jukes, meanwhile, have come aboard as CHR Brand Coordinators.
“Mark and Dylan are two of the most successful CHR programmers of all time, having led their home stations at
KYLD/SF and
WXKS/Boston to record-breaking ratings over the past decade,” reads a quote from Poleman, who dubbed the pair “fantastic leaders with a wealth of experience and vision for the future of the format. “
Adams’ quarter-century-plus at various formats has included stints in San Diego, Milwaukee, Portland, Houston and San Francisco; Sprague has served in Atlanta, Boston, Kansas City and Denver, among other markets.
Poleman also hailed Hahn and Jukes’ arrival, noting that the pair bring “fresh perspectives, insight and creativity.” In a joyous virtual meet-up, the people mentioned above gazed deeply into their laptops and murmured “buddy” over and over again.
