Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony—the pre-telecast event at which 90% of the trophies are handed out—will return to the
Microsoft Theater, with
Randy Rainbow as co-host. Entertainment will be provided by, among others, the
Blind Boys of Alabama and
La Marisoul, who will kick off the event, plus
Arooj Aftab,
Madison Cunningham,
Samara Joy,
Anoushka Shankar and
Carlos Vives.
Babyface,
DOMi & JD BECK,
Myles Frost,
Arturo O'Farrill,
Malcolm-Jamal Warner and
Jimmy Jam will serve as presenters. Recording Academy Chair of the Board of Trustees
Tammy Hurt will provide opening remarks. All Premiere Ceremony performers and hosts are nominees this year.
Branden Chapman,
Ruby Marchand,
Chantel Sausedo and
Rex Supa are producing the ceremony;
Greg Fera is the executive producer and
Cheche Alara is music producer and musical director.
The Premiere Ceremony starts at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT on 2/5 and will stream live on the Recording Academy's
YouTube channel and
live.GRAMMY.com.
