TOUR TIDBITS: TIMBERLAKE, DEFTONES, WEIR

JUST-IN TIME: Justin Timberlake (WME) has extended his Live Nation-promoted Forget Tomorrow World Tour with 10 shows in January and February. The new dates begin 1/13 in Portland, Oregon, and run through a 2/7-8 engagement in Mexico City.

Per Live Nation, Forget Tomorrow has shifted more than 1m tickets to date. That will encompass nearly 100 shows before the outing's completion. A fall North American leg gets underway 10/4 in Montreal and wraps 12/20 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Timberlake will also play Audacy's annual We Can Survive concert, which returns 9/26 to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as a part of Audacy’s "I’m Listening" mental-health initiative. New Kids on the Block, Tate McRae, Benson Boone, Khalid and Isabel LaRosa round out the bill.

Hard Rock International, one of the event's sponsors, will donate $25k to AFSP as well as act as the title sponsor of the Hard Rock Artist Lounge, where interviews and exclusive meet-and-greets will take place backstage.

SO SO DEF: Building on a huge 2024, during which they've played Coachella, Primavera Sound and Lollapalooza and supported System of a Down before 50k fans at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, Deftones (CAA) will visit North American arenas on a 2025 tour repped by Live Nation. The itinerary starts 2/25 in Portland, Oregon, and winds down 4/8 in Boston. The Mars Volta and Fleshwater will open.

Deftones will cap the year with their long-running Dia de los Deftones festival, 11/2 at San Diego's Petco Park, with warm-up from IDLES, Sunny Day Real Estate, Health and Duster.

ALIVE AND KICKING: Having completed a spectacular Sphere run with Dead & Company, Grateful Dead principal Bob Weir is bringing his Dead Ahead festival back to the Moon Palace Resort in Riviera Cancún, Mexico, 1/9-13/2025 in conjunction with Playa Luna Presents.

The event will boast the participation of Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, Goose's Rick Mitarotonda, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Don Was and Jay Lane. Pass the dutchie on the left-hand side, please.

NOT SO FAST: They may “Keep on Loving You,” but it seems they just can’t continue to love each other. After almost 50 years together, REO Speedwagon will stop touring in 2025 due to "irreconcilable differences" between frontman Kevin Cronin and bassist Bruce Hall. The announcement comes following the conclusion of the band's Summer Road Trip tour with Train.
