City Parks Foundation dinner and concert benefit at
SummerStage in
Central Park, which raised $1.3m for the Gotham parks system.
The McEnroes were presented with the 2024 City Parks Foundation Icon Award, honoring their philanthropic efforts in New York.

Nadir Settles was honored with the People & Parks Award in recognition of the company's significant work on affordable housing and environmental sustainability.
Guests were treated to performances by
Peter Frampton and
Patty Smyth, who’s been married to John McEnroe since 1997. Smyth was backed by a band that included
Steve Jordan,
Larry Campbell,
Clifford Carter,
Paul Shaffer and
Neil Jason.
City Parks Foundation Executive Director
Heather Lubov said in her remarks, “City Parks Foundation builds community, neighborhood by neighborhood, through outreach, training, coaching, making grants and generally being cheerleaders for thousands of volunteers who are working to improve their communities and our city.”
