UPDATE: Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone will headline the 2025 edition of Coachella.

Per the poster, Travis Scott will "design the desert," which a rep has clarified to mean he'll not only "debut an entirely new era of music" but curate a Cactus Jack takeover as part of "a fully immersive and experiential world within the desert."

The lineup is rounded out by Charli xcx, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Kraftwerk, Yeat, Benson Boone, Marías, The Original Misfits, Zedd, beabadoobee, solo sets by BLACKPINK's LISA and JENNIE, The Prodigy, FKA twigs, Mustard, Basement Jaxx, Japanese Breakfast and Portishead's Beth Gibbons.

Fred again.. had previously been tipped as one of the top names on the 2025 bill, but he is absent from the poster.

The 4/11-13 and 4/18-20 event at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, will also feature GloRilla, The Go-Go’s, Sam Fender, Jimmy Eat World, T-Pain, Shaboozey, the Circle Jerks, Ty Dolla $ign, Anitta, Darkside, Clairo, Ivan Cornejo, Above & Beyond, Gustavo Dudamel and the L.A. Philharmonic, Arca and Djo.

After considerable chatter that Coachella would reveal its 2025 lineup earlier than usual this year, could the announcement of the 4/11-13 and 4/18-20 event at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, be happening sooner than later?

The fest posted a cryptic Instagram Story this afternoon (11/19) of three palm trees swaying in the breeze, perhaps indicating that the details won't have to wait until January as they normally do. Posts like this have traditionally preceded the unveiling of the full lineup.

Reports point to Green Day and Lady Gaga taking other top slots in the desert, but securing this caliber of talent has become more difficult in recent years. TMZ says Travis Scott will hit the main stage; the star rapper was confirmed for the 2020 edition of Coachella, which was canceled due to the pandemic, and was then scheduled to headline in 2022 before the Astroworld Festival crowd crush made that an impossibility.

Across the pond this week, standard tickets for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival sold out in less than 40 minutes without benefit of any confirmed performers. Held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England, Glasto is scheduled for 6/25-29.
