WICKED SCARES UP RECORD STREAMS AT AMAZON MUSIC

While Wicked is doing boffo business at the box office, its Republic/Verve soundtrack has become, in its first 24 hours on Amazon Music, the platform's globally most-streamed ST to a musical.

The streamer has also curated a "Music From Wicked" playlist.

The film, which stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, posted the best Monday receipts ever for a film released in November, with $15.8m. Per Deadline, its domestic total exceeds $128m after just four days.

Songs from Wicked: The Soundtrack are also climbing the ranks at DSPs; "Defying Gravity" jumped to #22 at Spotify U.S. today (11/26), followed by "Popular" at #45 and "What Is This Feeling?" one spot behind.
