Amazon Music opens 2025 in its traditional forward-looking fashion, by releasing its
Artists to Watch series and offering listeners a deep dive in the form of a new set of Amazon Music Originals.
The streamer’s flagship Pop Culture playlist will spotlight
Cash Cobain,
Addison Rae,
Alex Warren,
Bea and Her Business, Daniel Seavey,
Jonah Marais,
Myles Smith and
Natalie Jane.
The Artists to Watch program will also call attention to rising artists on Amazon’s other playlists, including Rap Rotation, Country Heat, Rock Arena, Platino, R&B Rotation, Alternative Hits, Nectar, Stay Indie, Divine Sound, The Pocket and Bonfire.
To celebrate the release of this year’s Artists to Watch list, Amazon Music is releasing nine brand-new
Amazon Music Originals from artists who are either unsigned or signed to an indie label.
This wide-ranging
collection finds
Karen Dió covering
Chappell Roan’s “Casual,” Arcy Drive delivering their take on
Marcy Playground’s ’90s radio staple “Sex & Candy,”
Storm Orchestra covering “Maneater” by
Nelly Furtado and
Jonah Marais updating
Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”
Jaden Evans delivers a loving, piano-only take on “Peace Piece,” a jazz staple written by his grandfather,
Bill Evans.
Emily Cohen, principal music curator for Amazon Music, said, “2024 was a landmark year for music, with new stars like
Chappell Roan,
Doechii,
Benson Boone and countless others breaking out and becoming household names. And this year will be no different. For this year’s Artist to Watch program, we’ve identified the artists who we believe will define and make waves in 2025.”
