ERAS TOUR PREVIEWS PULL IN $2.8M

While Taylor Swift was watching her buddy Travis Kelce catch nine passes as the Chiefs topped the Broncos Thursday (10/12) in Kansas City, her Eras Tour film pulled in $2.8m in previews, according to a report in Variety.

Showings of the concert picture at 2,700 theaters began Thursday at 6pm. The addition of the preview screenings was announced only a day before.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour opens today (10/13) in 3,850 theaters in North America and an estimated 4,150 venues in more than 90 countries. To put the enormity of this release into perspective, when Disney releases a film globally it’s in 50+ markets; Universal only occasionally tops 80 and Warner Bros. is not too far behind, in the high 70s.
