Reality is likely getting pretty strange at the moment for
Sabrina Carpenter, who has exploded across the globe with the singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please."
Tonight the lines between real life and fantasy will be further blurred with
Sabrina Carpenter: A VR Concert, produced by
Gunpowder & Sky in partnership with
Meta and premiering in
Meta Horizon Worlds'
Music Valley.
The 45-minute concert, filmed in
Los Angeles following Carpenter's
Coachella appearances in April, features "Espresso" and the hits "Feather" and "Nonsense." It will serve as the kickoff to Music Valley's summer programming, which will consist of "new music, games, challenges and rewards."
The event follows Gunpowder & Sky's work on the
Emmy-nominated
The Notorious B.I.G. Sky's the Limit: A VR Concert Experience.
“Experiencing Sabrina in such an intimate setting offers a unique and unforgettable moment for her fans, highlighting her immense talent and charisma up close," said Gunpowder & Sky CEO
Van Toffler. Added Meta Director of Metaverse Entertainment Content
Sarah Malkin, "Working with Sabrina and Gunpowder & Sky to turn her electric live shows into a VR concert has been truly thrilling."
Carpenter's highly anticipated sixth album,
Short n' Sweet, is due 8/23 on
Island. An
AEG-promoted tour begins 9/23 in Columbus, Ohio, and no, we can't get your niece tickets.
