Ariana Grande (Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture) and
Cynthia Erivo (Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy).
The hit musical film was, however, shut out in the Best Original Score and Best Original Song categories. The former is led by
Trent Reznor and
Atticus Ross for
Challengers and
Hans Zimmer for
Dune: Part Two; the latter includes nominations for tracks from
The Last Showgirl (the
Miley Cyrus-cowrite "Beautiful That Way"),
Challengers,
Emilia Pérez, the
Robbie Williams biopic
Better Man and
The Wild Robot.
Meanwhile, the
Timothée Chalamet-starring
Bob Dylan biopic
A Complete Unknown was nominated for Best Motion Picture—Drama and Chalamet for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture—Drama.
Donald Glover is nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series—Drama for
Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and
Selena Gomez earned multiple nods for
Netflix's
Emilia Pérez.
