Spotify is hosting a special performance by Leon Bridges today as part of the streamery’s slate of virtual concerts. The prerecorded stream will begin at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
Bridges will perform songs from across his catalog at L.A.’s Gold Diggers Arms Hotel, where the Grammy-winning R&B writer/artist worked on his self-described “R&B-centric” third album, Gold-Diggers Sound, hitting 7/23 on Columbia. After Bridges and his friend DJ Sober threw an R&B dance party at Gold Diggers during Grammy week in 2019, he spent the next two years in residence at the hotel, writing, jamming and recording.
Spotify’s virtual-concert experience will provide a taste of the upcoming album and its backstory. Here’s a quick preview:
