AJR, currently somewhere in the wilds of Pennsylvania on their way to a show in Pittsburgh, have signed with the newly relaunched
Mercury Records/
Republic Records.
AJR Productions, the band’s own label, will work with Mercury on all releases. AJR—brothers
Adam,
Jack and
Ryan Met—will join a Mercury Records roster that includes
Post Malone,
James Bay and
Lord Huron.
“We couldn't be more excited to be partnering with Mercury Records,” the brothers exclaimed between bites of Utz chips. “We knew from our first meeting with their team that they understood our creative vision and are the right label to take the band to the next level.”
S-Curve chief
Steve Greenberg manages AJR, which scored mega-hits “Bang!,” “Weak” and “Burn the House Down” while at
S-Curve/
Hollywood.
Mercury Records President
Tyler Arnold noted, “What AJR has accomplished so far, especially in the touring, radio and streaming world, is remarkable and only continues to grow. We’re so excited to join them on their journey to becoming one of the biggest acts in the world.”
The trio is a couple of weeks into its
OK Orchestra Tour, which wraps in Honolulu on 6/26 then resumes in the U.K. and Europe in late September.
