The return of legendary Mexican pop group
RBD (
Rebelde) has fueled incredible demand for its world tour.
The
CAA-repped quintet sold out its initial slate of 26 arena and stadium shows in less than 24 hours. With the announcement of new stadium engagements in L.A., Mexico City, Brazil and Colombia (see below), the
T6H Entertainment- and
Live Nation-produced trek now spans 45 dates, half of which will transpire at stadiums. CAA's
Rudy Lopez Negrete,
Chris Dalston and
Darryl Eaton led the routing collaboration with RBD management.
Comprised of
Anahi,
Dulce María,
Maite Perroni,
Christian Chávez and
Christopher von Uckermann, the group sold over 1m tickets, marking the launch of a successful reunion after a 15-year hiatus.
“We've been working on this for quite some time so witnessing fans across the globe react with such enthusiasm and love has been a very unique and wonderful experience," T6H founder and CEO
Guillermo Rosas told us. "I believe it makes a powerful statement: RBD is a cultural movement that elevates Latin pop across the world. As RBD’s manager and producer of the tour, I'm honored to be working with these incredible artists I love, admire and respect.”
At press time, dates continue to be added, including in Medellín, Colombia, where the group just scheduled a fourth show at
Estadio Atanasio Girardot.
RBD is set to release new music this year through
UMLE.
