In a sign of the times,
Leslie Cooper will oversee K-pop releases for
Virgin Music in her new role as SVP of artist development and special projects. Two other company execs were awarded VP stripes.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Virgin Music President
Jacqueline Saturn, Cooper will also identify new artist-development opportunities at the company and lead collaborative efforts in that area.
Previously VP, Cooper worked closely with
SM Entertainment on its
SuperM and
NCT 127 projects.
Polo & Pan,
Maggie Lindemann and
Grace Ives were also under her wing. She was with
Capitol Music Group,
Columbia and
Atlanticprior to joining Virgin.

In addition to Cooper’s promotion,
Marisa Di Frisco has been named VP of national promotion and
Lauren Holman has been elevated to VP of streaming marketing.
Di Frisco, who worked for years at
iHeartMedia, will continue to oversee promo campaigns at the Alternative, Rock, AAA, and Non-Comm/College formats. At Virgin, she’s worked closely with
SHAED,
Clairo, The Maine and
Bad Omens, among others. Based in New York, she reports to Promo SVP
Marni Halpern.
Holman, whose successes include
Rema,
Mac DeMarco and
David Kushner, will lead the Streaming and Playlisting Strategy team. She’ll report to SVP of Commercial Marketing
Cindy James from Los Angeles.

They make sure our labels and artists get the support they need when they need it,” Saturn said. “I’m happy to be able to promote them to these important new positions in which they will be able to contribute even more to our continued success.”
