JP Saxe celebrated the 1/24 release of his single “Safe” with a 1/22 show at New York’s
Bowery Ballroom, which he transformed into a benefit for those impacted by the Los Angeles fires.
The
Arista artist, best known for the double-platinum
Julia Michaels collaboration “If the World Was Ending,” decided earlier this month to create what he’s called a “NY for LA” show. He took to
Instagram to write “WTF is the point of a song about the way I wanna make the people I love feel 'safe' if we don't actually do some shit. We’ll raise a bunch of money and show some NY love to our L.A. family.
100% of the proceeds from the concert, which also featured appearances by
Kristiane,
Ally Salort and
Allison Ponthier, will be donated to
Mutual Aid L.A.
