SUNDANCE MEETS ASCAP

The 27th Sundance ASCAP Music Café returned to Acura's House of Energy on 1/26-27 during Park City's Sundance Film Festival. Performances included The Hooters' Eric Bazilian, Busted's James Bourne, Grammy-winning songwriter Toby Gad, singer/actress Antonique Smith, singer-songwriter Mae Mae and Southern rock band The Wild Feathers.

ASCAP Screen Time, the ASCAP Film & Television team’s ongoing interview series, also hosted four exclusive conversations with the creators behind some of the festival’s films, including composer Jeff Morrow, who spoke to director Cristina Costantini about scoring SALLY, a documentary about astronaut Sally Ride.

Pictured above freezing their tootsies off are (l-r) ASCAP’s Erik Philbrook, Ambar Lucid, ASCAP’s Loretta Muñoz and Danny Schiller. Below highly relieved nobody from HITS could make the trip are Philbrook, Morrow and Costantini.
