AEG has realigned its international business operations by naming
Adam Wilkes president/CEO of
AEG Presents, Europe and Asia Pacific and
Alex Hill as president/CEO,
AEG International, effective 2/1.
Wilkes, who's been with AEG since 2011, has been instrumental in establishing its footprint in the Asia Pacific region through a joint partnership with
Frontier Touring, developing Bangkok’s
UOB Live and Nagoya, Japan’s forthcoming
IG Arena.
In adding European regional office oversight to his portfolio, he will relocate from Singapore to London, from which he will report to AEG Presents Chairman/CEO
Jay Marciano.
Building on existing stewardship of AEG properties like London's
O2, Hill will now lead AEG's ex-U.S. global real estate and venue operations, including such Asia Pacific projects as the
Bangkok Mall Arena and the entertainment-district redevelopment of the
Osaka Expo Park. He will report to AEG President/CEO
Dan Beckerman.
“We have tremendous confidence in Adam and Alex, both of whom are seasoned strategic leaders with proven track records," Beckerman said. "Their understanding of our customers and markets, their deep industry experience and their newly restructured responsibilities will position them to continue driving AEG’s international growth.”
