Mercury Nashville superstar Shania Twain, who's headlining at Stagecoach this coming weekend, will release her first album in 15 years come this September. She announced the news during her appearance as first-time-ever fifth judge on The Voice last night.
Single “Life’s About to Get Good” is scheduled to hit country airwaves this June. Apparently (and appropriately), the song will be debuted during her set at the aforementioned Indio, CA festival.
“I was at home looking out at the ocean and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out," the five-time Grammy winner said about the writing process. I’m not in the mood to write a ‘feeling-sorry-for-myself’ song.” The songwriter recognized that with all of the negative in life also comes the positive. “You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”
