With the CMA Awards just around the corner, the CMA Foundation, along with The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and Music Rising, today presents the Houston Independent School District with $1m+ in music education resources. Luke Combs (a CMA New Artist of the Year nominee) will be on hand to present the district with instruments and other materials to replace what was lost in Hurricane Harvey.
The funds demonstrate the participants' commitment to music education even in the wake of disaster.
Combs was slated to play music with students before his sold-out House of Blues show in Houston on 11/3.
