U.K. MIDWEEKS: BIFFY'S LOOKING BUFF

Biffy Clyro are leading an all-new Top 4 on the U.K.’s Official Albums midweeks with A Celebration of Endings (Warner Records). Over on singles, Drake has the highest new entry at #3.

Biffy are outselling the entire Top 5 combined and should claim their third #1 album on Friday. Sea Girls’s Open Up Your Head (Polydor) is new at #2, followed by Even in Exile (Montyray) from Manic Street Preachers frontman James Dean Bradfield.

Brighton folk-punk outfit Levellers are close behind at #4 with their first album in eight years, Peace (On The Fiddle).

Three more new releases could secure a Top 10 debut this week: British folk singer Kate Rusby is eyeing her first Top 10 with Hand Me Down (Pure Records) at #6; Burna Boy’s fifth studio album, Twice as Tall (Atlantic), is #8; and Rumer’s first country album, Nashville Tears (Cooking Vinyl), is #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Head & Heart” by Joel Corry f/MNEK (Atlantic) looks set to remain on top for a fifth consecutive week. “Lighter” by Nathan Dawe f/KSI (Atlantic) sits 5,000 sales behind after moving up one place to #2.

Drake f/Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” (Island) is heading for the week’s highest new entry at #3 on today’s sales flash. Jubel f/Neimy’s “Dancing in the Moonlight” (Good Soldier) could finally hit the Top 10, currently up one place to #10. Finally, “Midnight Sky” (Sony) looks set to be Miley Cyrus’ 13th Top 20 hit in the U.K.
