Kate Bush’s 1985 hit “Running Up That Hill” (
EMI) has been named the U.K.’s most popular song of the summer, with 762k in sales.
According to the Official Charts, the track had the most streams of any song from 6/1 through 8/31—86.6m—and the most digital downloads, more than 42k. It hit #1 in June thanks to an appearance on the
Netflix series
Stranger Things.
Harry Styles has two tracks in the summer Top 10: “As It Was” (
Columbia) in second place and "Late Night Talking" at #10.
LF SYSTEM's recent long-running #1, “Afraid To Feel” (
Warner Records), is #3.
Overall,
Sony claims five tracks,
