
Ron Stewart has been promoted to SVP of Urban Promotion for
Warner Records, where he will expand his current duties to lead promotion strategy and campaigns for urban artists.
Based in New York, Stewart will report to Warner EVP of Promotion & Commerce
Mike Chester, who said, “Ron is one of the most respected and admired promotion executives in the business and all of our artists benefit from his musical insight and unmatched expertise.”
In addition to Stewart’s promotion,
Cory Sparks (far right) has joined the label as VP, Urban Promotion after more than a decade with
Epic Records. Based in Atlanta, he will report to Stewart.
“Cory has a proven track record and has been instrumental in breaking some of today’s biggest superstars,” Chester said. “I’m looking forward to working with him, Ron and the overall team to expand the reach of our multifaceted promotion department.”
Stewart has been with Warner Records
since 2019 and counts hit singles by
Saweetie,
NLE Choppa,
dvsn,
Pheelz and
Freddie Gibbs among his successes. He was previously with
Atlantic Records.
Sparks was VP of Promotion at Epic Records, where he worked with
Future,
Travis Scott,
DJ Khaled and
GIVĒON. He began his career at Epic in 2012 as Midwest/Southeast regional promotion manager.
